Squly & Friends was founded by Chiilaku Limited in 2013. Despite its short history, this home grown cartoon character has already made an impression on the youngest sector of the Hong Kong market. In 2014, Squly & Friends was crowned the champion of the Original Character Design Competition organized by Comic World Hong Kong 38. Shortly after this success, their comic column was featured on Yahoo Style Hong Kong and the brand launched a number of crossover projects with different brands and corporations, including Aeon, Asus, MTR Mall, LINE, Jumpin Gym U.S.A., Sino Art, Lab Made, PartyLand, SNAP, Spot!, China Travel Service, HK SPCA and more. These collaborative projects have enhanced awareness for their brand and helped them develop a more diverse clientele.
Squly & Friends started exploring the licensing business in recent years and their licensed products have gained increasing popularity in both online and physical shops in the local Hong Kong market and overseas.
